Units 1, 2 and 3 LMC Report (Meeting of April 25th)
On Thursday, April 25th, the union’s Labour-Management Committee met with the employer to discuss a full agenda of issues for Units 1, 2, and 3. Many of the items that had been on the agenda for the past 2 months were returned to and updates requested. Several issues were resolved and progress was made on others.
May GMM (May 16th) & Tentative Agenda
Our next GMM will be May 16th from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm in 109 Atkinson (Harry Crowe Room). Free food and TTC tokens will be available! At this GMM we will be voting on several bylaw amendments and important donation requests. All members are encouraged to attend.

Next Executive Committee Meeting is May 8th
The next Executive Committee meeting will be May 8th at 12 pm – 3 pm in 143 Atkinson (3903 Office). All members are welcome to attend Exec meetings but only Executive Officers can vote.
Several Bylaw Amendments Passed at the April GMM
At the April GMM (April 17, 2019) several bylaw amendments were voted on. All bylaw amendments passed and will now be sent to CUPE-National for approval. A brief description of the amendments and the results are below.
CUPE – Ontario Convention Delegates
Delegates were chosen for the CUPE-Ontario Convention at the April GMM (April 17, 2019). The following individuals were acclaimed: Chelsea Bauer, Gizem Çakmak, Megan Hillman, Alia Karim, Michael Laurentius, Devin Lefebvre, and Joanna Pearce

At the April GMM (April 17, 2019) several committee vacancies were filled via by-election. The results are below.
International Student Members and Their Dependents are Eligible for UHIP Payment Coverage (UHIP Fund)
International students in Units 1 or 3 should receive funds to cover their UHIP payments (UHIP Fund). This fund should cover both the member and any dependents. We’ve recently heard of cases where members did not receive funds or their dependents were not covered. If you have not received UHIP funds or your dependents’ UHIP payments were not covered please email Alison, Chief Steward Unit 1 at cupe3903csu1@gmail.com. We are collecting information to ensure our members get the funds they are entitled to.
Election Officers and Other Committee Vacancies up for Election at April GMM
Two Chief Election Officers will be elected at the April GMM (April 17th). There are also several vacant positions on other committees that members may nominate themselves for.
