(1) Picket Line Consolidation

Based on ongoing discussions, starting Monday May 28 there will be four picket lines, operating on our two regular picket line shifts (7:30 – 11:30 am, and 11:30 am – 3:30 pm):

• Main Gate
• Northwest Gate
• Howard Moscoe
• Glendon

Members whose lines are not operating may choose which line to join. Please note that Northwest Gate is the most accessible option, as it is right next to the Pioneer Village subway station.

(2) May 24 Communications with the Employer

On Thursday, May 24, the CUPE 3903 bargaining team exchanged emails with the employer discussing the employer’s offer to meet. The CUPE 3903 bargaining team agreed to meet in the presence of a mediator, which was later denied by the employer.

Hotline hours are updated every week and posted to 3903.cupe.ca.

Strike Committee is the main coordinating body for all things strike-related at CUPE 3903. Ideas for picket line strategy? Targets or ideas for creative actions? Want to coordinate some guerrilla communications, flyers, or other media? Strike Committee is the place to do so!

There will be another Strike Committee meeting on Thursday, May 31, details TBA.

(7) Lassonde Townhall: May 30

This townhall will be held jointly by CUPE 3903 and the GSAs of engineering departments at Lassonde to give members the information they need. Members from other STEM departments are also welcome. There will be pizza!

Members of the bargaining team will be available to share information regarding the bargaining process, what we’ve achieved so far, what remains on the table for each unit, as well as a period for members to raise questions and concerns.

(8) Strike General Membership Meeting: May 30

Following the strike policy, Strike GMMs are held weekly for the duration of the strike. The agenda will include reports from the Executive, Treasurer, Bargaining Team, Strike Committee, as well as time for motions from the floor.
