(1) Back to Work Legislation Update and Picketing Shifts

Back to work legislation was introduced on Monday July 16. The bill has not yet gone to second reading, and therefore will not pass before next week.

Times and locations of this week’s picket shifts are as follows:

  • Thursday, July 19: 10 am – 2 pm at Queen’s Park and Northwest Gate
  • Friday, July 20: regular shifts (7:30 am – 11:30 am; 11:30 am – 3:30 pm) at Main Gate and Northwest Gate

Currently, the plan for Monday, July 23 is to have a single shift from 10 am to 2 pm at Queen’s Park and regular shifts at Northwest Gate.

CUPE 3903 members, families, friends, and all those who supported us for twenty long weeks on strike are invited to a celebration of resistance!

There will be food and snacks, including vegan, gluten free, and halal options, as well as soft drinks. Bring your kids, your friends, your picket line buddies! There will be activities and games.
