(1) Projected Timeline for Back to Work Legislation

The Ford government is expected to table back to work legislation this week, thus rewarding the employer for its refusal to bargain and casting a chill on labour relations in the province. While nothing is confirmed, the most recent information we have received indicates that we could be legislated back as soon as Wednesday. See below for the details of the picket shifts at Queen’s Park, including a rally on Wednesday.

(2) Picketing Shifts for the Week of July 16

Picket shifts will run on Monday as usual. On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a single picket shift from 10 am to 2 pm at Queen’s Park for our Days of Action. However, there will be a single shift at Northwest Gate from 10 am to 2 pm on both days for those who cannot go to Queen’s Park.

Should the strike continue past Wednesday, picket shifts will be held at Main Gate and Northwest Gate as usual, unless other plans are announced.
