About 30 CUPE 3903 members mobilized for the latest bargaining meeting with the Employer, including rank-and-file members, members of the Bargaining Team, members of the Executive Committee, and staff. In fact, the turnout by CUPE 3903 members was so large that the meeting had to be moved to a bigger room.
The meeting took place took place on Friday, September 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in 280N York Lanes. Four people were present for the Employer’s bargaining team.
CUPE 3903 members met at the local office beforehand to make hand-made signs and placards, expressing their demands to the Employer during this round of bargaining. Members, representing all three units, also made signs to show which departments were present in the meeting.
The mobilization of members for bargaining meetings with the Employer is organized by the Bargaining Mobilization Committee. The next open bargaining pre-meeting is Tuesday, September 30 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the CUPE 3903 office, 143 Atkinson Building, to be followed by a bargaining meeting with the employer from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in S802 Ross Building.
