The Trans Fund, Sexual Assault Survivor Support Fund, and Childcare Fund all have deadlines of May 31st. Members of all units are eligible for these funds and application details can be found on the fund pages.
The Trans Fund supports members in their every day life necessities as well as for surgeries. The Trans Fund is administered three times per year except in emergency situations where members can apply to the committee on an on going basis. The Trans Fund Committee understands ‘trans’ to be a broad and inclusive term that includes gender queer, transgender, transsexual, and gender variant among others.
The Sexual Assault Survivor Support Fund supports survivors to offset costs such as counselling, legal support and lost wages. The fund is administered three times per year except in emergency situations where members can apply to the committee on an ongoing basis.
The Childcare Fund is available for any member with a child under 13 (or 18 with more complex needs) and is not just to reimburse for childcare costs. All members with eligible children are encouraged to apply.
