(1) Remediation FAQ

Unit 2 representatives on the Executive Committee have prepared a FAQ to help members navigate the requirements of remediation.

Read the Remediation FAQ for more information, and contact your Unit 2 representatives if you have further questions.

Please note that payroll is running an off-cycle payment for remediation pay that is scheduled for July 9.

(2) Unit 2 Deadline for the Strike Hardship Fund

The Strike Hardship Fund is available for members to help them purchase items they need for their strike duties and/or who are in financial difficulties because of the strike.

Now that Unit 2 is no longer on strike, the Strike Hardship Fund has set a deadline of June 29, 2018 for Unit 2 members to submit all applications to be considered.

(3) Disputes Committee Office Hours

The Disputes Committee invites members to drop-in office hours, this Tuesday (June 26) 10 am – 12 pm, and Wednesday (June 27) from 9 am – 12 pm, to get information about the options available for members seeking resolution to disputes that have come up within the strike.

Meetings will be with two or more members of the committee, and will be private and confidential. Drop by Strike HQ and we can go grab coffee and talk about the process to resolve your strike-problems.

CUPE 3903 Members and members of the York University community seeking information can call the CUPE 3903 Hotline (select hours only): Monday to Thursday, 1 – 5 pm: 705-896-1141.

Strike Committee is the main coordinating body for all things strike-related at CUPE 3903. Ideas for picket line strategy? Targets or ideas for creative actions? Want to coordinate some guerrilla communications, flyers, or other media? Strike Committee is the place to do so!

The anti-racism committee will be meeting on Tuesday, June 26 at 3:30. The anti-racism committee was formed to address issues of racism at York University, our union, and beyond. All members interested in engaging in these issues are welcome to attend!

Following the strike policy, Strike GMMs are held weekly for the duration of the strike. The agenda will include reports from the Executive, Treasurer, Bargaining Team, Strike Committee, as well as time for motions from the floor.
