At the end of yesterday’s bargaining meeting with the Employer and the Conciliator, the Employer presented its final offer to the Bargaining Team (BT). After reviewing its contents, the BT voted unanimously to recommend a rejection of the offer. Please note that this is just a recommendation by the BT. At tonight’s ‘final offer’ Special General Membership Meeting, the BT will make a presentation about its recommendation, including discussion about the offer for each of the three units.

Following the BT’s presentation at tonight’s meeting, members will vote by secret ballot to make their own recommendation about whether to accept or reject the offer. Members will vote by unit.

Voting by secret ballot will begin at 6:30 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. The ballots will be counted immediately after voting ends and the results will be announced in the meeting. The Executive Committee will then caucus briefly and announce its decision in the meeting.

The following documents are a preliminary assessment of the Employer’s final offer:

More documents that summarize and review the offer will be posted online as they become.

The Executive Committee is meeting throughout the day to review in detail the Employer’s final offer, and will prepare for the members’ consideration at tonight’s meeting a recommendation on the final offer for each of the three units.
