The most effective strike mandate vote has a high turnout (the number of members who vote) and a strong strike mandate (the proportion who vote yes).
- A high turnout is important because it shows that a wide cross-section of the membership is engaged and mobilized about the bargaining process.
- A strong yes vote is also important because the union is strongest when it is united.
We need a strong YES Strike Mandate Vote to show that we are united and willing to fight for what we deserve!
We will be conducting phone banking for mobilization towards the SMV! We need members to plug-in and help make this happen. Alie Hermaneutz will be hosting Phone Banking training to help prepare members! We also offer many resources and supports for members volunteering to phone bank.
