BIPOC Caucus

The Black and/or Indigenous and/or People of Colour* (BIPOC) Caucus is an informal group that has been established to respond to the ongoing need for community, networking, and support.

What are we working on?

One of our major goals for the 2024-2025 academic year is to create spaces for BIPOC members to be in community and in conversation with each other. Meetings will be announced and shared through CUPE 3903’s newsletter.

We are also working on establishing opportunities to advance and promote community support, professional development, and mentoring for BIPOC members of the union.

Members are also invited to join the Anti-Racism Working Group, which is open to all members and which is organized to challenge privilege, racism, and white supremacy in all its forms.

How to get involved?

If you are interested in attending meetings, sign up to receive the weekly newsletter to get the latest updates and information about meetings, funds, and all things related to the union.

If you have any questions or thoughts, please email the Lead Steward Unit 3, Shyam Patel, at cupe3903csu3@gmail.com
