Anti-Racism Working Group

Anti-Racism Working Group

The Anti-Racism Working Group organizes to challenge privilege, racism, and white supremacy in all its forms, whether in the union, the workplace, or the larger community. We attempt to pay particular attention to intersectionality, recognizing that discrimination, inequity, and oppression take form in multifaceted ways, and our work involves understanding that our members are affected in complex and varied capacities based on class, gender, race, sexuality, (dis)ability, and other social identities/factors.

What are we working on?

For 2024-2025, we are restarting the Working Group to address and confront long-standing issues around racism in the local.

Members who are Black and/or Indigenous and/or People of Colour (BIPOC) are also invited to participate in the BIPOC Caucus

How do I get involved?

This Anti-Racism Working Group is open to any and all members who are interested in developing initiatives and strategies that further our thinking and work around anti-racism within CUPE 3903.
