Our workplace includes two full-time Staff Representatives, a part-time Equity Officer, a part-time Administrative Coordinator, a 14-person elected Executive Committee, other elected committee members, and an active membership. Our membership is comprised of approximately 3000 contract faculty, teaching assistants, graduate assistants, and part-time librarians and archivists at York University.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Phone bank canvasser are:
- Collecting phone numbers for members whose HR phone number is not working/unused etc.
- Attending 2 hour training session
- Calling members to inform them of the Strike Mandate Vote
- Informing members of bargaining priorities
Preferred Skills and Experience
- experience phone banking
- experience phone banking for 3903 in previous rounds of bargaining
- Knowledge of CUPE 3903 bargaining and related issues (training will be provided)
