At the November General Membership Meeting, a decision was made to send six CUPE 3903 members to the Labour Notes Conference in Chicago, April 6-8 2018. The local will pay for registration, travel, accommodation, and a per diem for food and other expenses.
The Labour Notes Conference is a gathering of grassroots union activists, featuring workshops and meetings about concrete labour issues, such as how to organize, strike, and bargain. Find out more here.
To nominate yourself to attend, email Hossein at cupe3903vpu1@gmail.com by 5 pm on January 9. If more than six members volunteer, there will be a vote at the January 10 GMM.
