Stewards Council Welcome and Training Day

Our next meeting is to welcome stewards, new and old, to the union. We'll be spending the first part of the meeting introducing people to the role of the CUPE 3903 steward at York, focusing on the basics of stewarding, organizing and the role of the stewards council in a bargaining year. We will also do an overview of some of the most common problems our members experience at York and different ways to address them. The second half of the meeting will be a more in-depth training session that focuses on evaluating, investigating, and organizing around grievances.
We hope you can join us for this important meeting. It will be especially useful for new stewards (departmental representatives) in CUPE 3903.
