The Ways and Means Fund is designed to help members--in any unit--who find themselves in an unexpected financial crisis.

Funds come from a pool of $44,245 to cover financial needs not addressed by other Collective Agreement funds.

It is distributed according to the following guidelines:
- on a one-time each fiscal year basis (April to April)
- for exceptional or unforeseen financial difficulties only
- the maximum funding is $1,000

The committee endeavours to meet every two weeks to process applications (thus, applications are accepted all year).
