About the Fund
The Strike Hardship Fund is intended to offset any hardship incurred by the strike by supplementing strike pay. This could include, but is not limited to, funds to help cover the cost of winter clothing, transportation and/or childcare during the strike, food, rent, etc., if your pay has decreased. Please state briefly your reasons for applying and include basic financial information, employment status and strike information. Please attach any new receipts or cost estimates that you may have.
Each member can get a maximum of $500. The funds are limited and will be distributed based on need.
The deadline for applications to the Strike Hardship Fund has been extended to Thursday, April 30th. Hard copy applications will be accepted at the CUPE 3903 office until 3:30 p.m. and electronic applications will be accepted through the Strike Hardship Fund email until midnight. Please email applications to email@example.com.
We encourage members who have not received strike pay to apply. Given that we have received additional funds to specifically cover transit costs, we also encourage members requiring funding for transit costs to apply.
Please carefully complete all fields of the Strike Hardship Fund application UPDATED (click to download), and remember to include pay stubs and receipts for any specific costs you are seeking to have reimbursed (with the exception of TTC fares/passes).
