‘Final offer’ vote results

Over 1,200 members of CUPE 3903 participated in the ‘final offer’ Special General Membership Meeting on March 2, during which they voted almost 70 per cent to reject the Employer’s final offer. All three units voted to reject. As a result of the rejection, the union went on strike at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

  • No: 69.04 %

  • Total votes cast: 1,208
  • Voter turnout: 32.40 %

Unit 1 vote: 

  • Yes: 278 (35.23 %)
  • No: 511 (64.77 %)

Unit 1 turnout: 

  • Total eligible voters: 1,872
  • Total votes cast: 789
  • Voter turnout: 42.15 %

Unit 2 vote: 

  • Yes: 56 (26.05 %)
  • No: 159 (73.95 %)

Unit 2 turnout: 

  • Total eligible voters: 1,029
  • Total votes cast: 215
  • Voter turnout: 20.89 %

Unit 3 vote: 

  • Yes: 40 (19.61 %)
  • No: 164 (80.39 %)

Unit 3 turnout: 

  • Total eligible voters: 827
  • Total votes cast: 204
  • Voter turnout: 24.67 %

If there is any discrepancy between the numbers posted here and the numbers posted in the CUPE 3903 office, the latter shall prevail.
