(1) Picket Shift Update

Back-to-work legislation has not yet passed the second reading. Based on this delay in the legislation, picket shifts will be at Keele Campus during the regular shift times (7:30 am – 11:30 am; 11:30 am -3:30 pm) on Monday, July 23. Contrary to what was previously advertised, there will NOT be a picket shift at Queen’s Park on Monday.

In all likelihood, there will be a Queen’s Park shift later this week for those who wish to picket in opposition to back-to-work legislation. This shift will depend on the timing of the legislation, which is unknown at this time. There will always be at least one shift at Keele Campus.

(2) Nominate Yourself for Elections Officer

The general elections will have to be held soon after the strike ends. This means that the two Elections Officers positions need to be filled, as there is one vacancy and the other EO will be out of town for the rest of the summer.

Read the full post for more information and how to nominate yourself.
