Continuing Sessional Standing Program (CSS) – List of Eligible Members

The CSS program was newly negotiated as part of the Unit 2 Collective Agreement in the 2014-15 bargaining round.

It provides first access to Unit 2 job appointments for members who have taught an average of at least TWO full courses (or equivalents) per year over the last THREE years.

For those members who have maintained an average of at least two full courses (or equivalents) per year over the last FIVE years, it also guarantees some compensation if your teaching load drops below 2/3 of your five year average. The CUPE 3903 position is that eligible members whose workload drops to this extent should receive compensation in summer 2016 for the 2015-16 year.

The initial list of Members Eligible for CSS (now revised as of Sept 30) has been provided by the employer. The CSS program will be implemented in time to shape the posting and appointment process for 2016-17.

The CSS Program is detailed in Article 12.01 of the Unit 2 Collective Agreement (2014-17).
