Units 1 and 3 vote to ratify Employer’s offer. Strike ends in victory for CUPE 3903.

Almost 1,000 members of CUPE 3903 participated in the ratification vote on March 31, a turnout of 36.38 %.

Unit 1 voted 95.18 % to ratify the Employer’s latest offer, while Unit 3 voted 90.21 % to ratify. Both units will return to work on Wednesday, April 1. The strike is now over.

Unit 1 vote: 

  • Yes: 750 (95.18 %)
  • No: 37 (4.70 %)

Unit 1 turnout: 

  • Total eligible voters: 1,872
  • Total votes cast: 788 (1 spoiled)
  • Voter turnout: 42.09 %

Unit 3 vote: 

  • Yes: 175 (90.21 %)
  • No: 16 (8.25 %)

Unit 3 turnout: 

  • Total eligible voters: 827
  • Total votes cast: 194 (3 spoiled)
  • Voter turnout: 23.46 %

If there is any discrepancy between the numbers posted here and the numbers posted in the CUPE 3903 office, the latter shall prevail.
